The Grounds

The 152 trees on the property are cataloged, including seven pineapple guava trees, the tallest grapefruit tree in Pasadena and a “penta-grafted” citrus tree.  See full list below.

The sloped uphill at the rear of the property is terraced with river rock walls The rocks were transported by mule and wagon from the Arroyo.

To help irrigate the property, water is captured from a local spring and rerouted to feed the foliage.

The grounds also include an aviary, Roman soaking tub, outdoor fireplace with fountains, wine cellar, pre-laid foundation at rear, raised herb garden, bee keeping and a secondary entrance on Ave 67.
